Hello!
Welcome to the Ankeny Community Emergency Response Team (ACERT) home page. Working in conjunction with the City of Ankeny, the Ankeny Fire Department and the Director of Emergency Management, the ACERT program helps train Ankeny residents to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations. When emergencies happen, ACERT members can give critical support to city staff and first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. ACERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of Ankeny.
Browse through this website to learn more about the Ankeny Community Emergency Response Team and CERT programs in general. If you have questions or would like more information about joining ACERT please feel free to contact us. We look forward to meeting you and having you join our team!
Sincerely,
Forrest McGuire
ACERT Coordinator
