General Facts:

Ankeny Regional Airport was established in 1993.

The airport is owned and operated by the Polk County Aviation Authority Board.

Aircraft ground support is provided by Fixed Based Operator (FBO) Exec 1 Aviation.

The Ankeny Regional Airport is located at 3700 SE Convenience Blvd., accessible off I-35 exit 90. The air field encompasses approximately 528 acres and offers a 5,500 foot main runway (RWY 18-36), a 4,200 foot crosswind runway (RWY 4-22) and an ILS. Exec 1 Aviation is the fixed based operator (FBO). The airport has approximately 110 based aircraft.

Rentals

The Ankeny Regional Airport houses 72 tee-hangars. The tee-hangers are 40 feet wide and 34 feet deep. The door openings are 12 feet high. Each hangar has electricity but no heat. The Ankeny Regional Airport also has 14 garages.

Rental services are available at $170/month for hangars with a $170 deposit and $95/month for garages with a $95 deposit. To rent either a hangar or garage, fill out the respective lease application and lease agreement.

Currently, there are no hangars available for rental.
