Available Rooms

Large Meeting Room

  • Maximum Capacity: 70
  • Available Resources: 65 chairs, 11 tables, podium, projection screen, TV/VCR, dry-erase board, kitchenette with coffeepot, sink, & refrigerator

Conference Room

  • Maximum Capacity: 20
  • Available Resources: 10 chairs, 1 large table
    (Additional chairs may be brought in)
  • Counter for coffeepot

Reserving a Room Online

In order to reserve a room online, you need a current Kirkendall Library card. For assistance, please call (515) 965-6460, Ext 5. Only non-profit groups may use the library meeting rooms.  All meetings must be open to the public.

Reserving a Room by Phone

You will not be able to reserve a meeting room without a library card. Call the library at (515) 965-6460 for assistance to reserve a meeting room. Be prepared to provide your library card number, your pin number, your email, your name, phone number, organization, the number of people attending and the room you would like to reserve.

Meeting Room Set Up

Users are responsible for setting up the room to meet their needs. The usual set up is in a rectangular configuration with 4 tables and 16 chairs in the middle of the meeting room. At the end of their meeting, users are expected to return the room to the rectangular configuration.

Additional tables and chairs for public use are located in the Coat Room. If additional equipment is needed, (TV, DVD player, projector, etc.) inform the reference staff when arriving for the meeting time. The equipment may be left as it is & reference staff should be notified.
