Ankeny's 2017 All-City Play Day will take place in Hawkeye and Wagner parks on Wednesday, July 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all Ankeny residents.
All-City Play Day features 25 “play stations” offering a variety of activities for children and adults including canoeing, face-painting, tennis, fun run, arts and crafts, touch-a-truck and bingo. Participants also can scale a rock climbing wall, try out pickle ball and spike ball, have a water fight using a fire hose with help from the Ankeny Fire Department and much more. New this year, the Iowa Wild will be on hand with a floor hockey rink and the Shooter Tutor.
Hy-Vee will be serving pizza and burgers, free-will donations will be accepted to benefit the Ankeny Miracle League. Food will also be available for purchase at the Hawkeye concession stand.
