On 9/15/17, the below pictured female used a credit card that she had stolen moments earlier at Panera Bread in Ankeny, to purchase several thousand dollars worth of merchandise and gift cards. She was accompanied by a black male who was described as very well dressed.  Any assistance in identifying the suspect is appreciated. On 8/29/17 between 6-7:30 p.m., the below pictured individual burglarized a vehicle at the Prairie Ridge Middle School. The victim’s purse was taken and a credit card used at Dollar General in Ankeny. Any assistance in identifying the suspect is appreciated. On 7/24/17 during the early morning hours, a local business was burglarized. Several electronics were taken during the burglary. The suspect pictured above appeared to be wearing a mask initially, but later removed it. Younger white male, possibly with facial hair. Any assistance in identifying the suspect is appreciated. On 7/23/17 at approximately 1:20 p.m., the two males pictured took a computer without paying for it from a local Ankeny business and left in what was described as possibly a silver Toyota Camry.  Any assistance in identifying the suspects is appreciated. Case # 17-002332

On 6/05/17 a server at a restaurant in Ankeny reported her debit card had been stolen from her purse. The suspects used the card to buy a gift card and minutes for a Tracfone. The following parties were observed using the stolen card and purchasing a gift card. They are associated with a white 1979-1993 Ford Mustang. During the month of April an unidentified male has come into a local business, and stolen Milwaukee drill kits on two separate occasions. The suspect is a white male with facial hair. He has been associated with a white Ford Focus and a green/blue Chevrolet Cavalier (possibly 1995-2005 year). Update 3/23/17: Suspect identified
On 3/9/17 a black female attempted to steal ammunition from a local department store in Ankeny. When confronted by loss prevention associates, the suspect fled and left the scene in a Silver Hyundai Sante Fe. The suspect was wearing a grey hat, black coat and a black shirt. It was later discovered she had also passed bad checks earlier at the store. On 12/14/16 a white male stole an HP laptop computer and a P70-VR drone from a local department store in Ankeny. When confronted by loss prevention associates, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was wearing a black coat, a blue Nike t-shirt, blue jeans, red tennis shoes and a blue stocking cap. The suspect fled the scene in a tan or gold colored Honda Accord. Update 12/28/16: Suspects identified  
On 11/27/16, three subjects entered an Ankeny area business and concealed into a backpack $192.10 in alcohol. The male went to the counter to pay and stated he forgot his wallet and needed to go to the car, leaving his groceries and exiting past all points of sale. The two females had already exited past all points of sale and left the building. The suspects are described as an African American/Asian male, age 30-40, approximately 5’10” tall and 200 pounds, wearing a red backpack, an African American female, approximately 20-30 years old, 5’5” tall and 200 lbs, and a white female approximately 20-30 years old, 5’7” tall, weighing approximately 200 lbs.  Both females were described as heavy set. If you are able to identify the subject or have any information, please contact Detective Betsy Anderson at 515-289-5268 or banderson@ankenyiowa.gov

On 12/2/16 around 5:20 p.m. an unidentified male stole two female wedding bands from a local jewelry store and fled the scene on foot. The subject's last known whereabouts were the 100 block of NE Hayes Drive. The subject was described as a heavy set male, approximately 5'7'' tall, weighing more than 250 lbs, with shorter, thick black hair, a heavy brow and black beard and mustache which were closely shaven. The pictured suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6'0" tall, 150 pounds, with short brown hair, fresh scabs on his face and tattoos on both arms. He is possibly in his 30's, wearing a green Athletic A's baseball cap, Iowa Hawkeye t-shirt and dark colored athletic shorts. He was driving an older silver van with a black pin-stripe and rust around the wheel wells.
