The City of Ankeny Board of Examiners & Appeals is compromised of five members appointed by the Mayor. The Board is empowered through Chapter 28 of the Municipal Code to hear appeals on decisions made in the enforcement of the Building and Construction chapter.

Meetings

The Board of Examiners & Appeals holds regular meetings at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October and December, provided a Plan and Zoning Commission meeting does not occur during that week. 

In the event a Plan and Zoning Commission meeting does occur, the Board will meet on the third Tuesday.

All Board of Examiners & Appeals meetings are open to the public. Meeting agendas are posted 48 hours prior to each meeting.
