To register for any program, fill out the Registration Form and submit using one of the four steps below. Payment is due at the time of registration.
4 Registration Options
- Online
Register Online - payment is due at the time of registration; only credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) are accepted through this method. (Not all events are available for online registration)
- After hours drop off
There is a drop box located outside of the Parks & Recreation Building - 210 S. Ankeny Blvd. This box may be used for after hours registration.
- Mail in
Send registration forms to 210 S. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, Iowa 50023.
- Walk in
Parks and Recreation offices are located at 210 S. Ankeny Blvd. in Ankeny. Normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Enclose Payment
Total all fees and make check payable to the City of Ankeny. All fees must be paid in full. All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Fees due may be paid in cash or by check. There is a $20 fee for any returned check. If a check is returned, both the amount of the check and the returned check charge must be covered in cash.
Confirmation
Please note that Ankeny Parks & Recreation will not generate confirmations or reminders for any program. Participants are asked to mark their calendars accordingly. If you have questions about a program registration, call 965-3570.
Non-Resident Fee Policy
A resident is defined as a person residing within the city limits of Ankeny or within the Ankeny Community School District. For most programs, an additional fee is assessed for non-residents.
Refund Policy
A refund can be requested up to one day in advance of program start dates. Cash Refund: a 10% administrative fee will be withheld from original fee. Credit Refund: a 100% credit can be applied within our system in which you will have up to one year for usage. If more than 50% of the program has been completed, no refund will be issued. Some programs have a minimum number of participants. This is done to ensure the quality of our activities. All programs are filled on a first-come/first served basis, so please register early. Late registrations may be accepted after a class or activity has started, if space is available. Fees will not be pro-rated.
Cancelations
Programs that are canceled or postponed due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control will be announced as soon as possible. After business hours, information will be available by calling the weather line at 963-3575. Parents are asked to pick up their children from the program site as quickly as possible if adverse weather conditions occur. Unless otherwise announced, there will be no rescheduling of programs or special events.
