    David Jones is the City Manager for the City of Ankeny. He ensures the policy direction set by the City Council is implemented and delivery of public services is provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The City Manager is hired by and accountable to the City Council to oversee the day-to-day operations of the city. 

    Education

    David Jones holds a B.S. in Communications from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, and an MPA from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Tennessee.


  2. Mike Schrock

    Mike Schrock

    Assistant City Manager

    Career With Ankeny

    Mike Schrock assists City Manager David Jones in the daily operation of the City by performing highly responsible and complex management and administrative duties. In addition, he is responsible for management oversight of Municipal Utilities, Community Development, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works. Prior to his appointment as assistant city manager, Mike served as the City manager for the City of Oskaloosa for 12 years.

    Education

    Mike has a master’s degree in Public Administration from University of Arizona and a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.


  3. Jennifer Sease

    Jennifer Sease

    Administrative Services Director

    Jennifer Sease is responsible for the management oversight of the City Clerk, Human Resources, Finance, Library, and Information Technology departments. Prior to serving as the Administrative Services Director, Jennifer served as the City’s Finance Director.

    Education

    Jennifer holds a B.S. in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University.
