On Thursday, June 22, starting at 9 a.m., the traffic signal at SW Oralabor Road & SW State Street will operate in all-way red flash while the existing steel signal poles and mast arms are dismantled. These poles need to be removed to accommodate widening on both streets.
Drivers are required to come to a full stop and proceed into the intersection with caution when clear, similar to an intersection with all-way STOP signs. There will also be intermittent lane closures. Drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes. The traffic signal will resume regular operation no later than 3 p.m. Thursday, but all-way red flash may also be needed on Friday, depending on contractor’s progress.
