Help the Ankeny Fire Department Fill the Fire Truck with Toys for Tots

The Ankeny Fire Department is asking for the community’s help to make sure that children in need can experience the excitement and joy of Christmas through the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.

The Fire Department will hold a special drive-thru Fill the Fire Truck with Toys for Tots event Sunday, Dec. 11, 3 – 6 p.m. at Fire Station Headquarters. Participants will enter the fire truck bay from the north side of Ash Drive and hand the toy to the firefighters.

All Ankeny Fire Stations are official drop locations for the Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off Monday through Friday, now – Dec. 16, 2022, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Those wishing to participate are asked to donate only unwrapped new toys at the following locations:

Ankeny Fire Station Headquarters
120 NW Ash Drive

Fire Station No. 2
665 SE Oralabor Road

Fire Station No. 3
1360 NE 36th Street

Last year’s toy drive resulted in more than 1,000 toys being collected for children in Central Iowa. For more information, please contact the Ankeny Fire Department at 515-965-6469.
