    7th Annual Mayor's Bike Ride

Join Ankeny Mayor Gary Lorenz for Ankeny’s Annual Mayor’s Bike Ride as he leads the way for a morning trail ride through the community. Two routes have been chosen for the event: a 15-mile route to the Oasis located on the High Trestle Trail, great for the avid bicyclist; and a 3.5-mile family friendly route, also utilizing the High Trestle Trail and local community trail connections. No registration is required and all participants should wear a properly fitted bike helmet.
Ankeny Bike Club will host a Bike rodeo from 8:15 - 9 a.m. Enter to win a bike, donated by Trek! This will include bike inspections, helmet fittings and a bike course. Kids (15 & under) who complete the Bike Rodeo Course will be entered to win. Mayor Lorenz will draw the winner before the ride begins at 9 a.m.
