From park shelters and gym space to the Lakeside Center, you're sure to find the perfect spot for your next family picnic or graduation party. Nonresidents will be charged an additional fee to reserve a shelter. Reservations  can only be made a maximum of six months in advance and cannot be made within 72 hours of the reservation date. Shelters can only be reserved April 8 - Oct. 6.

Park Shelters:

Many park shelters can be used free of charge. If the park is not listed as a rental facility below, the  park shelter can be used at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

The following is the full list of city-owned facilities and park shelters available for rental. Click on the locations below for prices and scheduling information.

The Ankeny Market & Pavilion (AMP) is located at 715 W. First St. in the heart of Uptown Ankeny. AMP is a trailhead for the popular High Trestle Trail, home of the Ankeny Uptown Farmer's Market and host to a variety of unique and exciting community activities. AMP is a 3.1 acre park that will include two pavilions, a restroom building, 108 parking spaces, bicycle trailheads and plenty of open space.

Fee Structure - Per Day  
Non-profit organizations (must provide proof of 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) status to qualify for this rate) $350 
Private Rental - Ankeny Resident*  $350
Private Rental - Nonresident  $650


*To qualify for this rate, the resident must provide a copy of their driver's license. For weddings or receptions, the bride or groom or their respective mother, father or legal guardian must reside within the City of Ankeny at the time of application as well at the time of the event. For all other social events, the host, hostess, or quest of honor must reside within the City of Ankeny at the time of application as well as the time of the event.
