The City of Ankeny has numerous developed parks and greenspaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. Learn more about each location by clicking on an icon in the map below. Or you can access the complete list below the map as well. Use the + and - buttons in the map to zoom in and out.

Looking for parks with basketball hoops or fishing ponds? Use the amenities drop down menu to filter the results. Use the category drop down to quickly locate both of Ankeny's aquatic centers, dog park and skate park!

Some park shelters may be rented and some are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Rental facilities may be reserved online at www.ankenyiowa.gov/register. Fees range from $30 per day to $50 per day, depending on the park.

Rental Information

The SummerFest Shelter (located directly North of Kirkendall Library and East of the Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center) is available for private rental.

Make reservations online at www.activityreg.com. Use the Park Finder page and select the rental facilities category to filter the list.

Reservations can also be made in person at the Parks & Recreation Office, 210 S. Ankeny Blvd., Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Shelters can only be reserved between April 9 and October 9. Reservations cannot be made more than 6 months in advance. Reservations submitted 72 hours or less before the reservation date will not be accepted. If the date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you may come in on the preceding Friday.
