    Ankeny Police Find Body of Missing Man

    ANKENY, Iowa (Oct. 25, 2019) — On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at approximately 6 p.m., Ankeny officers went to the 600 block of NE Four Mile Drive on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Responding officers located a body in a wooded area near where the vehicle was found.

    The decedent was identified as:

    Michael Lawrence Malloy (age 54) of Des Moines

    Upon further investigation, officers learned Mr. Malloy was reported missing on Oct. 16 to the Des Moines Police Department.

    An investigation is underway as to the cause of Mr. Malloy’s death. An autopsy was conducted this morning by the Polk County Medical Examiner. No foul play is suspected at this time.
