Help the Ankeny Fire Department fill the fire truck with Toys for Tots

    Post Date:11/25/2019 12:05 p.m.

The Ankeny Fire Department is asking for the community’s help to ensure that children in need can experience the excitement and joy of Christmas through the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.

All Ankeny Fire Stations are official drop locations for the Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off Monday through Friday, now – Dec. 8, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Those wishing to participate are asked to donate only unwrapped new toys at the following locations:

    Ankeny Fire Station Headquarters
    120 NW Ash Drive

    Fire Station No. 2
    665 SE Oralabor Road

    Fire Station No. 3
    1360 NE 36th St.

The Fire Department will also hold two special events to drop off toys:

    • Fill an ambulance with toys at the Mayor’s Tree Lighting, Friday, Dec. 6, 6 – 7 p.m. at AMP (Ankeny Market & Pavilion).
    • Fill the Fire Truck With Toys Day, Sunday, Dec. 8, 3 – 6 p.m. at Fire Station Headquarters.

Due to the overwhelming support of our community, last year’s toy drive resulted in more than 900 toys being collected for children in Central Iowa. For further information, please contact the Ankeny Fire Department at 515-965-6469.
