    Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library Closing Due to COVID-19

    The Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library will close today, March 16 at 1 p.m. for the next four weeks as a preventative measure to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This decision was made based on guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Iowa Department of Public Health.

    Library patrons are encouraged to utilize online resources including eBooks, eMagazines, streaming video, digital learning tools and more at Library items checked-out will not incur late fees during the closure. Items out will have due dates automatically adjusted to reflect the reopening. Patrons can hold on to items or drop-off them off at the drive-up book drop. Purchase requests, holds and inter-library loans will not be processed during the closure. Library staff will contact groups or organizations that reserved a conference room during this time.
