Meet Regional Authors at the Sixth Annual Ankeny Authors Fair

Post Date:03/30/2018 11:17 a.m.
The Kirkendall Public Library will host the Sixth Annual Ankeny Authors Fair on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Otter Creek Golf Course in the Pinnacle Club, located at 4100 NE Otter Creek Dr. in Ankeny. This event is free and open to the public.

The Ankeny Authors Fair celebrates reading and writing by bringing authors and readers together. Dozens of local and regional authors of mystery, suspense, humor, poetry and non-fiction for children, teens and adults will be on hand to discuss the creative process of writing and talk one-on-one with attendees. Authors also will be selling and signing their books at the event.

Attendees will find all varieties of authors for adults, teens and children at the Ankeny Authors Fair. The popular duo Magnolia “Maggie” Rivers and C. Deanne Rowe, writing as The Stiletto Girls, and creators of the steamy Stiletto Books anthologies will be returning along with award winning poet Dennis Maulsby. Fireflies Aglow, an artist collective of young writers in Des Moines, will also be attending to promote their collaboratively written book “Becoming Agents of Change”. First-time attendee Matthew Walsh’s book “The Good Governor: Robert Ray and the Indochinese Refugees of Iowa” will appeal to those who have an interest in local history and politics. No matter your age or interests, the Ankeny Authors Fair will have something for you.
