City of Ankeny seeks applicants for boards and commissions
Boards and Commissions play an important role in advising the Ankeny City Council on matters of interest to our community and its future. The City of Ankeny is accepting applications for various boards and commissions, with many terms commencing within the first quarter 2019.
Information regarding the various boards and commission is available on the city website along with an online application at https://www.ankenyiowa.gov/residents/apply/boards-and-commissions or by contacting the City Clerk’s office at 965-6405. While the City of Ankeny accepts applications year-round from people interested in serving the community, a deadline of Dec. 28, 2018, is imposed for consideration of the terms commencing first quarter 2019. All applications will remain on file for one year for future consideration of appointments.
Females are strongly encouraged to apply for this position; all of the City’s boards and commissions are required to comply with the State of Iowa Gender Balance Law.
Qualified applicants will be interviewed by the Mayor and the Department Director overseeing that board or commission, followed by official appointment by the Mayor/City Council.
