Opening Day for Otter Creek Golf Course is Wednesday, March 27

Otter Creek Golf Course will open for the 2019 golf season Wednesday, March 27. Reservations for tee times are now being accepted online at or by calling 515-965-6464. The course is open seven days a week during the golf season, early spring hours are 9 a.m. to sundown. The driving range will also open March 27, while the Tin Cup Bar and Grille will open on April 1.

Golf Leagues are Forming Now

Otter Creek Golf Course is looking for individuals interested in joining its men’s, women’s and new couples golf leagues. The Men’s League plays every Thursday night with a 5:30 p.m. shotgun start beginning April 25. Men’s League plays nine holes and generally last 20 weeks. The Women’s League plays every other Monday through August, beginning April 8, with reserved tee times from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The Couple’s league will take place select Fridays, May 24, June 7, June 21, July 12, July 26 and Aug. 9 with reserved tee times from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

League golfers play at a discounted rate of $26 for 9 holes with cart each week, $17 if walking. Interested players can sign up individually or as a team. The Men’s League will hold a captain’s meeting March 28 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tin Cup Bar and Grille. Otter Creek Golf Course is one of Iowa’s premier golf facilities, named the 2016 18-Hole Course of the Year by the Iowa Golf Association. The Paul Miller design appeals to players of all skill levels, with multiple sets of tees, low-growing bluegrass fairways and exciting, smooth fast greens. The golf course plays to a par of 71, features 47 bunkers, 17 ponds and an abundance of tall grasses and mounding. Otter Creek also offers a driving range with some of the best practice turf in the state. Otter Creek is a public 18-hole golf course located at 4100 NE Otter Creek Drive in Ankeny.
