Municipal Utilities Community Survey - Feedback Requested
We need your input!
The City of Ankeny Municipal Utilities Department is conducting a community survey regarding storm sewers and sanitary sewers. All Ankeny residents and property owners are encouraged to fill out the survey.
During the evening of June 30, 2018, portions of central Iowa experienced a historic amount of precipitation in a short period of time. Up to 10 inches of rainfall fell in some areas of Ankeny. Many residents and businesses experienced damage to their property due to surface water flooding and/or basement back-ups.
Prior to this historic rainfall, the City of Ankeny was conducting two studies to evaluate its storm sewers and sanitary sewers. As part of the research process for the studies, input from residents is needed to help identify problem areas in Ankeny; this will aid in the prioritization of capital improvement projects that will improve our storm sewers and sanitary sewers. Your input on the type and extent of flood related issues experienced at your property is crucial to this process. If your property did not experience problems, you are still encouraged to fill out the survey.
Please complete this short online survey no later than April 30, 2019.
