The Ankeny Fire Department is a professional emergency services department that employs both career and paid-on-call (POC) personnel. We respond to all types of emergencies including building fires, medical emergencies, auto vehicle extrications, and many other types of incidents. Successful candidates for employment will exhibit excellent physical fitness, great communication skills, and a commitment to serving the City of Ankeny and surrounding areas.

- 18 years of age or older, valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
