    • Employees are still working regular hours and are available by phone 515-965-6430 and email.  

    • Economic Development staff is available to assist local businesses with local, state, and federal business assistance programs that have recently been announced to assist with economic hardship.  As new programs are made available in the coming days and weeks, staff will be able to assist with questions local businesses have about these evolving programs
    • The Iowa State University Center for Industrial Research and Service is providing the following resources for local business, primarily manufacturers: https://www.ciras.iastate.edu/covid-19/

    • City Hall is closed to the public for walk-in customer service. For assistance, call or email staff first and we will work through the logistics.

     

    Recently announced programs for business financial assistance

    COVID-19 Targeted Small Business (TSB) Sole Operator Fund

    Iowa Small Business Relief Fund

    The Small Business Relief Program provides financial assistance to small businesses and tax deferrals to Iowa businesses economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.     U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Assistance

    The SBA issued a disaster declaration for the state of Iowa on March 21, 2020.  The declaration allows pandemic-impacted businesses to apply for low-interest support loans.  Click here to learn more about this program: https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/
