    When the Ankeny Fire Department provides ambulance care and/or transportation the person receiving the medical care will receive a statement from the Ankeny Fire Department Billing Office if the care rendered qualifies for billing. The statement will come via the USPS to the address obtained during or after patient care.

    The Ankeny Fire Department works will all major insurance carriers including Medicare and Medicaid. We also participates in the Offset Program under the State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services which allows the City of Ankeny to attempt to collect money owed for services rendered.
