    There's lots of fun to be had at the Kirkendall Public Library! 

    The library is a happening place! Join us for fun programs like Lego Club, Open Art Studio, story times, book clubs, special events and more. The Kirkendall Public Library is a great place to meet new friends, learn while having fun and of course read! Ask us about reading programs, going on now!

    Story Times

    Babies & Books
    This story time is designed for the youngest book lover.  Participants will enjoy rhymes, songs, and FUN to encourage an early love of books and develop language. 

    Toddler Story Time
    This 15-20 minute theme based story time is designed for 1-3 year olds and their parents/caregivers.  Participants will be engaged in books, rhymes, counting activities and songs.  There are multiple opportunities to attend this story time each week.

    Preschool Story Time
    This 20-25 minute theme based story time is designed for 3-5 year olds and their parents/caregivers.  Participants of this story time will enjoy books, rhymes, counting activities, and songs.  There are multiple opportunities to attend this story time each week.

    Crafty Reader Story Time
    This 25-30 minute story time is designed for children years old and above.  Participants of this story time will enjoy books, rhymes, songs and a simple craft at the conclusion of story time.  This story time is offered one afternoon per week.

    Movers & Shakers
    This 25-30 minute program is all based on music and movement! Participants (children & adults) will engage in a playlist of songs that will get us up and moving and having FUN! This program is offered multiple times each week. 

    Book Clubs

    *Registration is required for ALL book clubs.  Register by calling the Children's Reference Desk 965-6460, option 4.

     

    Geronimo Stilton Book Club

    Ages: K-3rd Grade

    Geronimo Stilton Book Club meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 3:30-4:15 PM in the Library Meeting Room. Listen to a few chapters of a Geronimo Stilton book, watch a short cartoon and enjoy a snack.  Participants will take home a copy of the book to finish at home. See monthly calendar for details.

    Mo Books! Club

    Ages: 5 & up

    Do you love books written by Mo Willems? Then this book club is for you! Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:00 PM in the Large Meeting Room. Enjoy books by Mo Willems, a snack, and more! See monthly calendar for details.

    Where Is? Book Club
    Ages: 3rd-5th Grade 

     Where Is? Book Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 PM in the Large Meeting Room. Listen to a few chapters of a Where Is? Book, experience virtual reality, and take part in a STEM related activity. Participants may borrow a copy of the book to take, finish at home & return to the Library.     Early Reader Book Club

    Ages: Kindergarten-2nd Grade

    Early Reader Book Club meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:15 PM in the Children’s Craft Room. “Graduated” from story time, but still love picture books? Explore some awesome books, get excited about reading and interact with others. Participants will take a book home to share with their family and return to the Library.
