The Friends of the Ankeny Library is an independent, philanthropic organization dedicated to enhancing the library through fundraising and advocacy efforts.   Proceeds from Friends bookstore, fundraisers and donations will be used to support library programs, events, and special projects.

As a 501(c)(3) corporation, charitable donations are considered tax deductible by the Internal Revenue Service. Funds raised are not used to replace or supplant public funding.

Donations can be made payable to Friends of the Ankeny Library at 1210 NW Prairie Ridge Drive, Ankeny, Iowa, 50023 or donate via the Kirkendall Public Library Foundation Paypal account

 The Friends Raise Money Through:

  • Library bookstore sales
  • Donations

 The Friends Help to Fund:

  • Children's Summer Reading Program and Special Events
  • Teen Programming
  • Adult Programming; including author visits, educational programs and more
  • Hatch Maker Space

Would you like to help with book sales, fundraising, and events?  Download the application form and either drop it off at the library or email it to smitchel@ankenyiowa.gov.

Spring Cleaning?  Remember the Friends Book Sale.

Consider donating books in good condition to the library.  Proceeds of the sale help benefit the library's programs.  Please no textbooks, encyclopedias or magazines.
