Project Description 

The NW Irvinedale Drive & NW 18th Street Intersection Improvements project includes reconstruction of the intersection to provide dedicated left-turn lanes, right-turn lanes, and an urban cross section from approximately 500 feet west to 475 feet east of NW Irvinedale Drive along NW 18th Street, and 650 feet south to 750 north of NW 18th Street along NW Irvinedale Drive. The project also includes temporary pavement to transition the north and south limits of NW Irvinedale Drive from the existing rural to the proposed urban cross section.

Progress Update

NW 18th Street is closed from east of NW Boulder Ridge Lane to west of NW Countrywood Lane and NW Irvinedale Drive is closed from north of NW 15th Street to NW Trestle Point Drive.

The contractor is paving the north leg of the intersection.

The contractor is also installing the traffic signal and working on punch list items.

A signed detour utilizing NW 36th Street, NW State Street, West First Street, and NW Weigel Drive will be maintained throughout the project. -- Updated 11/25/25

NW 18th Street is closed from east of NW Boulder Ridge Lane to west of NW Countrywood Lane and NW Irvinedale Drive is closed from north of NW 15th Street to NW Trestle Point Drive.

The contractor is paving sidewalk and ramps around the intersection and installing traffic signal components. The contractor is also installing rock subbase along the north leg of the intersection in preparation to start paving.

A signed detour utilizing NW 36th Street, NW State Street, West First Street, and NW Weigel Drive will be maintained throughout the project.
