Use Caution When Taking Detours Through Residential Neighborhoods

The City of Ankeny and the Ankeny Police Department are aware of the spring road construction projects that have detoured a lot of traffic into the residential neighborhoods. We are asking drivers to please use care and caution while traveling through these neighborhoods. All residential neighborhoods streets are 25 mph zones unless otherwise posted. With the weather getting warmer there are more kids outside playing, people walking their dogs and other pedestrian traffic. There is also an increase in bicycle and motorcycle traffic on the roads. Please slow down and drive with caution.
