Update - Aug. 29, 2023: Early this morning Breanna Colleen Peters (25) turned herself in at the Polk County Jail in regard to the death of her infant son in March of 2022. Breanna is charged with Child Endangerment Causing Death. She is currently incarcerated at the Polk County Jail.

This morning Ankeny Police Detectives arrested Charles Henry Peters (28) at his home in Cedar Rapids in regard to the death of his infant son in March of 2022 in Ankeny. Peters is charged with Child Endangerment Causing Death. Peters is currently incarcerated at the Polk County Jail. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
