The library has book clubs available for all ages and interests. To join, grab a copy of this month's book from the Circulation Desk and we will see you at the discussion! Registration is not required, but is recommended to receive reminders and updates. Check out our calendar to see what we're discussing next.
Tweens & Teens
Tween Book Club covers a wide range of middle grade titles, primarily fiction. Recommended for grades 4th - 7th.
When: 1st Thursday of the month, 5 - 6PM

Graphic Novel Book Club do you like reading graphic novels and/or mangas? Then this book club is for you! Recommended for grades 4th - 7th.
When: 3rd Monday of the month, 5 - 6 PM

Fun Friday are you a student at Northview? Join us during Flex on the second Friday of the month to chat about what you are reading and hear from other readers! Available for 8th and 9th graders.
When: 2nd Friday of the Month, 1:30 - 2 PM (Flex)

Hawk Book Time is for Southview students to read and discuss great books together during Flex on the third Friday of the month. Available for 8th and 9th graders.

Books & Bagels allows teens to share their latest reads and swap book recommendations while enjoying bagels provided by the public library. Available for 10th - 12th graders.
When: 1st Friday of the month at Ankeny High, 7:45 - 8:15 AM and last Friday of the month at Centennial, 10:45 AM - 12:45 PM
Where: Career Center at Ankeny High, High school library media center at Centennial
Multi-Generational
Get Lit Book Club focuses on current young adult and new adult fiction titles. This group provides an opportunity for teens and adults to share their varying perspectives. Recommended for adults and teens.
When: Second Thursday, every other month, 6:30 - 7:30 PM

Adults
Afternoon Book Club reads a variety of genres and styles, primarily fiction. Recommended for adults.
When: Second Tuesday of the month, 1 - 2 PM
Where: Meeting Room C (first floor)
Evening Book Club reads a variety of genres and styles, primarily fiction. This group reads the same titles as the Afternoon Book Club, one month later.
When: Third Thursday of the month, 6 - 7 PM

Mystery Book Club focuses on crime novels where you get to figure out who, when, where, and why. Recommended for adults.
When: Second Wednesday of the month, 1 - 2 PM
