The Public Works Department's Roadway Engineering Division performs a variety of duties including planning, survey, design, construction administration, and observation of public improvement projects. The engineering staff provide technical support to the other departments within the city, and work with consultants, utility companies, developers, contractors, other public agencies, and the public on a daily basis to coordinate the public infrastructure improvements occurring in Ankeny.
