Services
Several services are listed; however, do not hesitate to call and ask about services that are not listed as we offer seasonal services and in some instances we can provide you with the level of assistance you require.
Our Community Service Officers are trained to install child safety seats and answer questions about age and weight-appropriate safety seats in accordance with Iowa law. We can assist you with installation or check your installation for proper fit and adjustment.
Fingerprint services are very popular. We host several hours during the week to take fingerprints. If you have a large group that requires fingerprints we can also accommodate your hours with sufficient notice. We use digital fingerprint capture which means it is clean and quick and typically requires only 10 to 15 minutes of your time.
Our Records Division can assist you with alarm permits and renewals. Much of the work can be done over the phone and forms can be emailed to you upon request.
If you prefer to stop at Police Headquarters to file a report, we can arrange for a police officer to assist you and record your information privately in one of several private offices.
In addition to the listed services, we have an abundance of booklets and pamphlets available in our lobby. These materials address specific topics such as hotel safety, K-2 and bath salt information, drug information, and assistance programs available to you and your family. Please take a moment to scan this material while visiting our facility.
