Board of Examiners & Appeals

Overview

The City of Ankeny Board of Examiners & Appeals was established in 1997. The Board is empowered through Chapter 28 of the Municipal Code to hear appeals on decisions made in the enforcement of the Building and Construction chapter.

Meetings

  • 5:45 p.m.
  • Second Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October and December, provided a Plan and Zoning Commission meeting does not occur during that week.

 All Board of Examiners and Appeals meetings are open to the public.

The City of Ankeny Board of Examiners and Appeals is compromised of five members appointed by the Mayor. Members serve three year terms. There are no special requirements to serve on this board.
