The City of Ankeny partnered with Confluence, Inc., to develop a revitalization plan for the South Ankeny Boulevard Corridor, located between Oralabor Road and First Street.
The plan identifies strategies to improve the corridor’s function and appearance while strengthening its role in the community. It includes a range of recommendations related to land use, redevelopment, infrastructure, and urban design.
Work on the plan began in August 2024. A draft was shared with the public in March 2025, and the final version was adopted in June 2025.
The City will use this plan to guide future investments, rezoning efforts, and development reviews in the area. Action items in Chapter 3 offer a roadmap for implementation through departmental planning and budgeting.
