Successfully Complete Written & Physical Ability Testing

Written Testing

All applicants are required to complete written testing within 12 months of the closing date of the current hiring process.

Physical Ability Testing

All applicants are required to have successfully completed the physical ability evaluation within 12 months of the closing date of the current hiring process. A CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) certificate completed within the previous 12 months shall be accepted in lieu of completing the physical ability evaluation.

Interview Process

Full-time: The Civil Service Commission will certify two civil service lists (FF / EMT and FF / PM) of the top 40 full-time candidates as eligible for hire. Ranking will be determined by the written test score. Only those candidates certified by the Commission will advance to the next step of the hiring process. 

Part-Time: Applicants will be placed on a list to be considered for an interview.

Interviews will be scheduled by the Fire Department.
