Currently certified paramedics with the appropriate experience as stated below are eligible for lateral transfers if they meet the following conditions:
Completion of 12 months (1 year) as a full-time Paramedic at another agency or a PT Paramedic for the Ankeny Fire Department shall be paid at Step 2.
Completion of 24 months (2 years) as a full-time Paramedic at another agency or a PT Paramedic for the Ankeny Fire Department shall be paid at Step 3.
Completion of 36 months (3 years) as a full-time Paramedic at another agency or a PT Paramedic for the Ankeny Fire Department shall be paid at Step 4.
